Overview
About this test
MCHC (Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin Concentration) measures how much haemoglobin is packed into your red blood cells relative to their size. Like MCV, it's usually part of a full blood count and helps your GP narrow down the likely cause of anaemia or other blood cell abnormalities.
What it checks
- Haemoglobin concentration in red blood cells
- Support in diagnosing types of anaemia
