Overview
About this service
A caudal epidural delivers anti-inflammatory medication close to the nerves at the base of the spine, and can help with sciatica, radiating leg pain, lower back pain linked to nerve irritation, lumbar spinal stenosis, and some types of disc-related pain. It's also sometimes used for persistent pain following spinal surgery, where other treatments haven't settled symptoms. As with our other injection treatments, this is arranged following a consultation to confirm it's the right option for your particular pain pattern.
- Sciatica and radiating leg pain
- Lower back pain from nerve irritation
- Lumbar spinal stenosis
- Some disc-related and post-surgical pain
