About this service
Where imaging is needed, our MRI/CT referral service arranges access to private scans following a consultation with one of our GPs. MRI uses magnetic fields to produce detailed images of soft tissue and organs, while CT uses X-rays to capture cross-sectional images, useful for diagnosing fractures, internal injuries and more. We work closely with private radiology services so scans are usually scheduled within the same week as your consultation, with our team guiding you from referral through to the interpretation of results. This route can also open the door to specialist care where a condition needs further attention.
